The Business Improvement District's Activities

Yonkers Downtown Business Improvement District (BID) The BID encompasses the City’s traditional central business district, including Chicken Island, Getty Square, the City Pier, Larkin Plaza, St. Joseph’s Medical Center as well as City Hall, the Health Center Building and the Riverfront Library. Generally, the BID is bounded by Nepperhan Street to the north, the Hudson River to the west, Prospect Street to the south and School Street to the east. The BID includes approximately 350 members: 190 property owner members and 160 lease holder members. Including the local City Council member, the Mayor of Yonkers and the City’s Commissioner of Finance, a 14‐person Board of Directors directs and organizes the BID and its services. The Board of Directors works with the Executive Director of the BID and provides general management of the BID in accordance with the BID Bylaws |
