President Sundra called the meeting to order
 
Members present:
Sundra, Matts, Bina, Mahbub, Seeme, Barbara, Jeffrey, Pete, Philippe, George.

Guest: 
Tim Hodges (Yonkers Police department)

Meeting Highlights:
After the Finance Committee Meeting, Sundra opened our evening meeting at the Dolphin, with the Pledge. Invocation was done by Barbara, Members recited the 4- way test.

No Happy Bucks were collected and there was no 50/50 Drawing
 
Dream Court: Barbara said the Dream Court Project is approved and she will present an update to the Club at a future meeting.
 
Finance Committee:  The Club Operating and Foundation budgets will be presented to the Club Board by Sundra at the next Board meeting on 12 September.

Library for Liberia: Jeffrey announced that Sam had met with the Rotary Club of Sinkor in Liberia and they have agreed to the partners in the Project.  They have asked for a letter from our Club.  Mahbub will contact that Club.  Jeffrey also mentioned that Sam will be in New York in September.  Mahbub informed the Club that he visited the Rotary Club of Hartsdale/Greenburgh and they are interested in the project with the possibility of a partnership with us.  They have also proposed a donation of 500 books for the proposed Library.  Sundra requested Mahbub to fill out the forms to formally reserve the Library Auditorium and send them to the Library.  
 
Youth Exchange Scholarship program: Mahbub confirmed that the information session on the program will be held as scheduled on 13 September at the Will Library auditorium.  Walter Lundstrom, Chair of the Program for District 6690 (Columbus Ohio) will present an overview of the Program.  Past recipients  Dilynn Kessler, and Nicole Pratt will present their experience, while a parent will highlight the parental perspective.    Concordia College Admissions Recruiter Anthony Rooney share how a year abroad affects college admission.  
 
Strike-out Hunger Night: Matts said that the 34th Annual Strike-out Hunger Night was held on August 28.  RI Polio Plus Chair Mike McGovern was the Guest of honor at the event in Philadelphia.
 
Father Philippe:  Father Phillipe announced that he was leaving for South Africa on a UN Peace-keeping mission for 2 weeks.
