Officers’ Reports/Updates

Reminder to participate on the E.R.E.Y (Every Rotarian Every Year) program and donate. Suggested donation is $100.00 but you can donate any amount you can or wish to donate. 

We have received the $8,000 grant we were waiting for from NYS for the Roy Letsen Memorial lobby at St John’s hospital.

Guest Speaker

We did not have a guest speaker this week.  

Main Motions 

Greg reminded us that this year we have allocated $4,000 from our foundation budget to fund Youth Service programs. He proposed we discuss where we should distribute the money to and everyone present gave different ideas. President Sundra presented the motion to create a committee to decide where the funds should be allocated. All members present agreed that: Sundra, Steve, Parul, Alix, Shaw & Mayra would be part of this committee, with Mayra as chairperson.

Announcements

Barbara announced Peggy is at the hospital and let us know what room she is in, in case anyone would like to go visit her.

Matt shared that last week’s speaker Ambassador Teuta Sahatoqija, , General Consulate of the Republic of Kosovo has cordially invited us to an event commemorating the Independence of Kosovo. The celebration will take place on Feb 19 at 6:30pm at the Japan Society center in NYC.
